Well folks, I can't believe it went this quickly but here is the end of my 12-hour mini-readathon! Tomorrow will be spent working on reviews for what I read and visiting blogs and commenting on your posts. Tuesday morning will be spent on seeing who completed which mini-challenges, and picking and announcing the winners of the Amazon gift cards, as well as announcing the winner for my sister's bonus mini-challenge. Again, winners will be chosen randomly.
I want to thank my lovely sister Heather for hosting her bonus challenge / giveaway, and I want to thank the awesome Jenn for hosting her cover-themed mini-challenge. You guys rock :-)
Just as a reminder, you do have until 6 PM Eastern time tomorrow to complete whatever mini-challenges you want.
I had a lot of fun today, and thank you to everyone who signed up and who participated. It was amazing, and I'm definitely thinking of hosting a Winter Mini-Readathon in January :-)
SOOOOO, here is your last mini-challenge! It's a simple end-of-the-event survey. I'm A) a little lazy and B) having some issues with Mr. Linky right now for some reason, so you can either answer the questions below in a comment, or you can answer them in a blog post, and then leave a comment with a link to your post.
1. How many books and/or pages were you able to read?
2. About how many hours were you able to read for? (Were there many distractions, breaks, etc?)
3. Do you have any likes/dislikes about the 12-hour readathon, compared to a 24-hour readathon?
4. Favorite and least favorite books that you read today?
5. Do you have any suggestions for things you'd like me to do differently if I host another mini-readathon?
Thanks again everyone! And goodnight!

1. How many books and/or pages were you able to read?
ReplyDeleteI READ FROM 8 BOOKS. I PURPOSELY DIDN'T PAGE COUNT OR BOOK COUNT BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO FEEL LIKE A FAILURE.
2. About how many hours were you able to read for? (Were there many distractions, breaks, etc?)
I READ FOR 8 HOURS WITH A SHORT 1/2 HOUR NAP.
3. Do you have any likes/dislikes about the 12-hour readathon, compared to a 24-hour readathon?
I HONESTLY DON'T THINK I COULD EVER READ FOR 24 HOURS. I AM NAPPER BY NATURE.
4. Favorite and least favorite books that you read today?
FAVORITE: THE STORY OF BEAUTIFUL GIRL AND MISS PEREGRINE'S HOME FOR UNUSUAL CHILDREN. LEAST FAVORITE: SOMETIMES YOU FEEL LIKE A NUT.
5. Do you have any suggestions for things you'd like me to do differently if I host another mini-readathon?
NOT ONE THING. IT WAS A PERFECT DAY. THANKS FOR DOING THIS. I'D DEFINITELY SIGN UP IN JANUARY.
1. How many books and/or pages were you able to read? 2 full books and 1/4 of a 3rd book. Around 685 pages.
ReplyDelete2. About how many hours were you able to read for? (Were there many distractions, breaks, etc?) Probably about 10 1/2. I gave up 30 minutes early and I had taken breaks during the day for lunch, dinner, and a short bike ride.
3. Do you have any likes/dislikes about the 12-hour readathon, compared to a 24-hour readathon? This is the only readathon I've done so I'm not sure, but I think this seems preferable over a 24-hour marathon. That might be a bit overkill.
4. Favorite and least favorite books that you read today? I really loved Anna and the French Kiss, but I'm also really enjoying Heist Society so far. Illegal was good, but I enjoyed the other reads more.
5. Do you have any suggestions for things you'd like me to do differently if I host another mini-readathon? I wish I could have a suggestion for you, but I really don't know what I'd have done differently. I thought this was really fun, and put together really well!
Thanks for hosting the challenge, Sarah! Maxine and I had a lot of fun.

I also included descriptions of my reading places, but sadly no photos because I can't find my camera :(- but you can decide whether this qualifies me for challenge 4 as well, right? (please say yes) ;)
I am so glad that you hosted this Sarah (I am late on the wrapping up). I read most of the 12 hours, but took a break to do some things. I still got a lot of reading done. I think you did a lovely job.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to do a wrap up on my blog later in the week.
